Dinner on Alki
Last night I saw a couple, bundled up, walking on the beach. I was sitting in Bamboo at the bar, looking at them talking. It amazed me the lengths people go through to create memorable experiences. The girl in this couple was talking and the guy was listening. Isn't that the way it normally goes on dates? As I watched them, I noticed that they looked over at the Bamboo and started to talk again. They obviously were wondering what to do, and if they wanted to come in..
They crossed the street and came in for dinner. They grabbed a seat at one of the windows facing Alki Beach and for over an hour they sat there, eating and drinking looking outside commenting on how cold it was outside. After their meal, they ordered a one of our hot beverages with Bailey's, paid their bill and left. They went across the street and walked back up the beach..
I thought to myself, what a great experience. Those kind of nights are something that build a relationship and build memories that will last a long time.
At the Bamboo, we have been working very hard to bring the level of service and food up to where it was a few years ago. Their whole dinner experience made me feel grateful about being on the beach and grateful that the Bamboo Bar and Grill is part of many couple's "beach" experiences. Thanks again for coming to the Bamboo.
