What does Happy Hour really mean? Yes, you should be happy. No, it is not just 1 hour. Happy Hour started way back in the 20's when men in the Navy use to have an hour that they could have entertainment, boxing, wrestling, events that would help relieve some of the stress of a long time at sea.  During the prohibition period here in the states, happy hours were a set time that speakeasys would serve alcohol before legitimate restaurants would start serving dinner. 

West Seattle has many places for happy hour, but you are not going to find a better happy hour on Alki like the New Bamboo Bar and Grill. With awesome drink and food specials, Bamboo is the place to be.
